Rare, Longaberger Master Studio 2017 Shagbark Basket, Last Of The Series
Tall urn. Black leather twisted into points woven into Pewter, Washed Pewter and Black weave. Braided wire hammered flat around top of basket. Solid black wood pedestal. Included Black Lid, no knob.7” round, 14.75 high19th edition and last basket produced to the Master's Studio Collection. Longaberger Master Craftsman Brian Dilts spends a lot of time in the woods behind his home. One of his favorite trees is the Shagbark Hickory. This spring, Brian saw one of these shaggy trees with a new vision. Immediately the idea for his next Master’s Studio Basket was born – the Master’s Studio Shagbark Urn Basket. While it’s impossible to perfectly mimic the random pattern of the shaggy bark, Brian has a beautiful representation, with black leather twisted into points and woven into Pewter, Washed Pewter and Black weaves. Braided wire, hammered flat, adorns the top of the basket, like the twisted vines that often wrap the trees of the forest. Celebrate the season with the beautiful Master’s Studio Shagbark Urn Basket.
