The Crawford Barn was built by Colonel George Crawford, a premiere horse trader in Newark, Ohio in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Only 900 pieces were made to be sold during the raising. All distinctive marks are noted in the photos and include the Longaberger maple leaf on the front left leg, the "M" for Mosser and "98" for year made on the back left leg and the HCA for Heisey on the back right leg.

Gently Used Longaberger Hostess Hope Chest Basket with Removable Longaberger Plastic Protector and Foundry Wrought Iron Basket Stand with Wood Crafts Lid. Overall measurements of the Hostess Hope Chest Basket are 24" in Length, 15" in Depth, and 11" High. This Maple Basket was handwoven in 1998 and features the Longaberger Classic stain and riveted leather handles.The Foundry Iron Stand measures 25 1/2" long, 19 1/2" deep and 14" tall. The basket, protector, lid and iron stand have been lovingly and very gently used and overall are in very good condition with the exception or a few minor scuffs and faint scratches on basket and wood lid. Plastic protector also has a few insignificant scuffs commensurate with its age, but no cracks. All pieces are in very good condition given their age and have been stored with care in a smoke free home. Please view all photos. Shadows, variation in color of slats and any distortions are due to lighting and camera. Basket is a uniform color with no significant exterior stains or discoloration. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
