Longaberger 1996 Yuletide Treasures Basket Combo, Wrought Iron Stand & Lid/ ShelfThis listing is for a 1996 Christmas Hostess Basket - The Yuletide Treasures Basket Combo. Included in this combo is:1. The Large Yuletide Treasures Basket, with two Swinging handles. It measures 20.25" Long, 14.75" Wide and 7.5" High. It has special holiday trim weaving. There is a Green Band around the Top of the Basket. This is not visible in the pictures because the Fabric Liner is covering it. There is another Green Band, woven in the middle of the basket. It is accented by Red Shoe-String weaving on either side of the Green Band. These colored-bands are not-at-all faded, but bright green and red. The Basket features the Classic Stain.2. The Fabric Liner in the Imperial Stripe design. This fabric has wider green stripes, between narrow red stripes. These stripes are accented by a Very Narrow pinstripe of gold between each of the Red and Green Stripes. This fabric is subtle-enough for year-around use. 3. The Plastic Protector - which keeps the fabric liner looking like new.4. The Woodcrafts Lid, which can also be used as the Shelf/Top of the Wrought Iron Stand. This Lid is in the Classic Stain, also.5. The Yuletide Treasures Wrought Iron stand. 1983 JW Collection. (24 pics of the item).Estate find. Measures approximately 14.5” long and just over 13” tall (to the top of the handle). Weighs 1 pound 4 ounces. Signed and dated on the underside. The basket is prominently worn, dulled and discolored. Truly evident discoloration. There’s quite an ugly amount of blackening, darkened discoloration to the tight spots where the strips cross each other. Varying levels of graying and fading. Soiled, dingy. There’s staining that is most noticeable to the bottom of the inside and to the underside. I only quickly vacuumed and brushed the basket. I have not given it a detailed cleaning. It’s dusty. There’s dirtiness. It smells like an old dusty basket. All of the nails have correlating splits to the wood, varying levels. The splits to the top inside edge and to the underside are the longest, most evident. Each pin that holds the metal tag has a large 1” split as well. The metal tag has scratching, discoloration, and it wiggles. The nails along the top edge are rusty (crusty discolored rust). The inside surface of the top edge is rough looking, and the inside edge of the handle also has a rough surface. One of the thin dark strips on a narrow side has a 3/4” rough spot that is pictured. The basket has rubs, scuffs, bumps and related blemishes. The vintage basket has all the wear and crudeness that you’d expect with an item of this age and nature. Many years of display and storage. The basket is noticeably crooked and wavy, misshapen. I ask that you please help me out by closely reviewing the provided photos to best judge what you are purchasing. Depending on your monitor and/or device, the color may look slightly different in person than it does in the pics.I only ship packages out Monday thru Friday. USPS delays are possible.
