eBay 1986 RARE Longaberger Hand Made Sewing Basket with Hand Painted Lid and Stand 1986 RARE Longaberger Hand Made Sewing Basket with Hand Painted Lid and Stand Beautiful hand made basket from Longaberger Basket Co., Dresden OH MADE IN USA VERY Hard to find older larger sewing basket. Dated 1984 and signed by maker along with Longaberger stamp on bottom; round shape basket has single swivel handle at top; split style lid is attached at top with leather straps (only 1/2 of it opens); hand painted daisy fern leaf design on top; wood knob handle; solid wood base with hole in center for the 4 legged stand. Basket measures 13" round x 8-1/2"H; stand measures 13"H. CONDITION: Basket is in very good clean condition with no breaks or damage to it; upon finding this at a local estate sale, it had a cloth off white cotton liner glued inside which had numerous pockets in it. I have removed the cloth liner to clean it. I will include it with purchase if buyer wishes to reattach it inside. The design on the lid was painted and signed on this when it was new in 1984 (signed and dated by artist). Tastefully done.
